Educated at New York’s Fordham University, Shannah Hall Franckum embarked on her career as a research assistant under the director of practice development at Touche Ross & Co. There, Shannah Hall Franckum's duties encompassed a range of public relations and marketing functions, including researching prospective clients and overseeing the preparation of feasibility studies and proposals.
Shannah Hall Franckum went on to serve as an office manager with the Law Offices of Attorney Scott H. Robb, as a research consultant with KMG Main Hurdman, the vice president/director of leasing with Cambridge Development and Investment Associates — during which she played an integral role in the conversion of a 1928 Sears Roebuck Building into a 220,000-square-foot mixed-use retail/office complex.
From 1996 to 2002, Shannah Hall Franckum directed commercial retail leasing for Hammond Real Estate. Among her accomplishments there was the creation of a “Japan Town” for the Boston-Cambridge, Massachusetts area, leasing commercial space to a variety of Japanese-themed businesses. Since 2002, she has served as principal of the Cambridge Real Estate Company.
